air fryer garlic bread

A quick and flavorful garlic bread recipe made in the air fryer using thick bread slices, a rich garlic butter spread, and optional toppings like parmesan and red pepper flakes. This dish delivers crisp edges and savory flavor in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick white bread or French bread, cut into small pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (57g) salted butter, softened (or unsalted butter with 1/4 tsp salt)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
  • Parmesan cheese, optional
  • Red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Add garlic, softened butter, and parsley to a bowl. Mix well to combine.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture liberally on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Top with parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Slice the bread into smaller pieces and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 350ºF for 5 minutes, or until golden and crisp to your liking.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use ciabatta, sourdough, or baguette as alternatives to white or French bread.
  • To soften butter quickly, warm a glass and place it over the butter for a few minutes.
  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based butter and omit the cheese.
  • Freeze buttered slices for later and air fry from frozen for 6 minutes at 350ºF.
