Boozy Peppermint Mocha Coffee

A warm and festive holiday coffee drink made with brewed coffee, crème de menthe, chocolate liqueur, and cream, topped with whipped cream and peppermint candy. This adult-friendly version of a peppermint mocha is perfect for entertaining or relaxing on a cozy winter night.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups brewed coffee
  • 2 ounces crème de menthe
  • 2 ounces chocolate liqueur
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Melted chocolate, for mug rims (optional)
  • Crushed peppermint candies, for garnish
  • Sprinkles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If using, dip the rims of the mugs into melted chocolate, then into crushed peppermint candies. Let set for 5 minutes.
  2. Divide the brewed coffee evenly between four mugs.
  3. Into each mug, stir in 1/2 ounce crème de menthe, 1/2 ounce chocolate liqueur, 1 tablespoon cream, and 1/4 tablespoon sugar if desired.
  4. Top each mug with whipped cream.
  5. Garnish with crushed peppermint candies and sprinkles.
  6. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute peppermint schnapps for crème de menthe.
  • Use store-bought peppermint mocha creamer as a shortcut if preferred.
  • Adjust sweetness by omitting or increasing the sugar to taste.
