Christmas Coffee

A cozy, spiced coffee drink perfect for the holiday season. This festive beverage features rich brewed coffee, warming spices, and creamy milk or cream, with optional toppings for an indulgent finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (strong and rich)
  • 1–2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
  • Optional: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of nutmeg
  • For Peppermint Mocha version: 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1–2 tablespoons peppermint syrup
  • Crushed peppermint candies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method.
  2. Stir in 1–2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg while the coffee is hot.
  3. Add 1/4 cup milk or cream and stir gently to combine. For a frothy texture, froth the milk beforehand.
  4. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of nutmeg, if desired.
  5. For a Peppermint Mocha variation, also add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1–2 tablespoons peppermint syrup, then garnish with crushed peppermint candies.

Notes

  • Use a medium to dark roast coffee for best flavor balance.
  • For dairy-free, substitute with almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • Sugar-free sweeteners like stevia or erythritol can be used as alternatives.
  • Brew a larger batch and keep warm in a thermal carafe for guests.
