Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggnog, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and fold gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
