Holiday-Worthy Cranberry-Pecan Cheese Ball That Disappears Fast

Cranberry-Pecan Cheese Ball

A festive and flavorful cheese ball made with cream cheese, sharp cheddar, dried cranberries, and pecans. This easy appetizer is perfect for holiday gatherings, offering a sweet and savory combination that pairs beautifully with crackers, veggie sticks, or fruit slices.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped if large
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add shredded cheddar, chopped cranberries, chopped pecans, and green onions. Mix until well combined.
  3. Scoop the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and shape into a ball using your hands.
  4. On a plate or parchment, mix the reserved cranberries and pecans. Roll the cheese ball over the mixture to coat the surface, pressing gently so the toppings stick.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball securely in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  6. Before serving, let the cheese ball sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Serve with crackers, vegetable sticks, or apple slices.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and flavor.
  • Toast the pecans for extra flavor depth.
  • Swap pecans with toasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds for a nut-free version.
  • Use white cheddar or smoked gouda for a flavor twist.
  • Do not freeze as texture will suffer.
