Gluten-Free Reindeer Chow

Gluten-Free Reindeer Chow

Gluten-Free Reindeer Chow is a festive, no-bake snack mix that combines crunchy cereal, popcorn, pretzels, and peanuts coated in creamy white chocolate. Perfect for holiday gatherings or gifting, it delivers sweet, salty, and crunchy flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chex mix (gluten-free)
  • 2 cups popcorn
  • 2 cups gluten-free pretzels
  • 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 9 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Christmas sprinkles to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups Chex mix, 2 cups popcorn, 2 cups pretzels, and 1/2 cup peanuts. Stir gently to mix evenly.
  2. Melt 9 oz white chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon coconut oil in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth, or melt in a double boiler at low heat.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry mixture and fold gently with a spatula until all pieces are coated.
  4. Stir in Christmas sprinkles carefully once the chocolate is slightly cooled to avoid melting.
  5. Spread the coated mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer and refrigerate for 30 minutes until set.
  6. Break the chilled mixture into clusters and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use certified gluten-free Chex and pretzels for strict gluten-free compliance.
  • Substitute peanuts with seeds for a nut-free version.
  • Use dairy-free white chocolate to make the recipe dairy-free.
  • Add peppermint extract or crushed candy canes for a festive variation.
  • Can be scaled up by doubling ingredients and using multiple bowls for mixing.
