Cheesy Halloween Breadstick Bones are fun, spooky snacks made from pizza dough shaped like bones, brushed with butter, sprinkled with parmesan, and topped with melted mozzarella. Served warm with marinara sauce, they’re crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfect for Halloween parties or themed gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • All-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and divide the pizza dough into 10 equal portions.
  3. Roll each portion into a 20 cm rope, then use kitchen scissors to make two small cuts at each end and spread them slightly to form bone shapes.
  4. Place the shaped dough pieces on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each one.
  5. Brush each piece with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden and puffed.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top, and bake for another 5–7 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Add garlic powder or Italian herbs for extra flavor.
  • Use cheddar or gouda instead of mozzarella for a different cheesy taste.
  • Shape and refrigerate the dough bones ahead of time, then bake before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven.
