Heavenly Peach Bread is a soft, golden loaf bursting with juicy peaches and topped with a luscious peach glaze. It’s the perfect blend of sweetness and comfort, ideal for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Each slice captures the essence of summer in every bite.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    ½ cup whole milk
    ½ cup vegetable oil
    1 large egg
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    2 cups fresh peaches, diced
    2 cups powdered sugar
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    ⅓ cup finely diced peaches
    ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    1–2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan, lightly dusting it with flour.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in diced peaches.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, diced peaches, and vanilla until smooth. Add cream if needed for consistency.
  9. Spread glaze evenly over the cooled bread before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for the best flavor and texture.
  • To peel peaches easily, blanch them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then transfer to ice water.
  • Do not glaze the bread while warm, or the glaze will melt.
  • Can substitute oil with Greek yogurt or applesauce for a lighter version.
  • Freeze unglazed bread for up to 3 months; glaze after thawing.
