Virgin Strawberry Pina Colada

Virgin Strawberry Pina Colada

A refreshing non-alcoholic drink that layers a slushy strawberry base with a creamy coconut-pineapple blend. This tropical Virgin Strawberry Pina Colada is perfect for summer parties, family picnics, or a beachy treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice (for strawberry base)
  • 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • ¾ cup pineapple juice (for piña colada layer)
  • ¾ cup canned coconut milk
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend 1½ cups strawberries with ¼ cup pineapple juice until smooth and slush-like. Add 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar if strawberries are not sweet. Pour into a separate container.
  2. Rinse the blender to prevent color bleeding. Add 1 cup fresh pineapple, ¾ cup pineapple juice, ¾ cup coconut milk, and ½ cup ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
  3. Fill a glass about 25% full with the strawberry mixture. Gently pour the piña colada layer over the back of a spoon to form a layered effect.
  4. Swirl with a straw or skewer if needed for the lava flow effect. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a pineapple wedge.

Notes

  • Use frozen strawberries or pineapple chunks to keep the drink cold without watering it down.
  • Replace coconut milk with cream of coconut for a richer texture.
  • If using only one blender, rinse it thoroughly between layers to maintain distinct colors.
  • Homemade pineapple juice may be used, but it may be pulpier than store-bought versions.
