Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough or croissant dough
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, for dusting

Equipment

  • Muffin tin

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly coat a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll both cans of crescent dough onto a floured surface. Press along the seams to seal and create two full sheets.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Brush one dough sheet with melted butter, then sprinkle half of the sugar mixture evenly on top.
  5. Place the second dough sheet on top of the first, aligning the edges and pressing down lightly.
  6. Cut the layered dough into long strips, about 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
  7. Roll each strip into a spiral, similar to a cinnamon roll, and dip the outside in the remaining melted butter and sugar mixture.
  8. Place each roll into the prepared muffin tin.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cruffins are puffed and golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan. Serve warm.
