  • 8 oz andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

  2. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter or oil. Sauté onions until translucent (3-4 minutes), then add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until golden brown. Follow with shrimp; cook until pink (about 3-5 minutes).
  5. Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring, then mix in Cajun seasoning.
  6. Combine cooked pasta into the sauce mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  7. Finish with Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes
