Gooey Amish Pineapple Dump Cake

  • 2 cans crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the crushed pineapple with its juice into the baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the pineapple.
  5. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top, if using.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pineapple filling is bubbling around the edges.
  9. Let the cake cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
