Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels (about 4 medium ears) or thawed frozen corn
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (56g)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (a few twists)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs like chopped parsley or chives Optional

Equipment

  • skillet

Method

Instructions
  1. Prep the Corn (5 minutes): If using fresh ears, cut the kernels off the cob by standing the ear upright on a cutting board and slicing downward with a sharp knife. If frozen, thaw and drain excess water.
  2. Mix Butter and Honey (2 minutes): In a small bowl, combine softened butter and honey. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  3. Heat the Skillet (1 minute): Place skillet over medium heat and warm for about a minute.
  4. Sauté the Corn (5-7 minutes): Add corn kernels to the skillet. Stir occasionally, letting the corn get a little golden and caramelized in spots.
  5. Add Honey Butter, Salt & Pepper (2 minutes): Lower heat to medium-low. Add honey butter mixture to the corn, stirring gently to coat. Sprinkle in salt and pepper. Stir until butter is fully melted and corn is glossy and fragrant.
  6. Finish with Herbs (Optional, 1 minute): Stir in fresh herbs if using.
  7. Serve Immediately: Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy warm.
