- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with a mixer until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Stir until fully blended.
- Fold the whipped cream gently into the condensed milk mixture using a spatula until smooth and airy.
- Pour in the orange juice and sprinkle in the zest. Mix gently until everything is incorporated. Add food coloring if using.
- Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Press plastic wrap or parchment paper directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals.
- Freeze for at least 6 hours or until solid and scoopable.
