Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 200 g milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 75 g Rice Krispies cereal
  • 100 g white chocolate, chopped
  • 12 red Smarties or red mini M&Ms
  • Green holly leaf decorations or green fondant leaves

Equipment

  • Heatproof mixing bowls
  • Saucepan
  • Microwave or stove
  • Tray lined with parchment paper
  • Spoon
  • Fridge for chilling

Method

Instructions
  1. Add milk chocolate, golden syrup, and butter to a heatproof bowl. Melt together over a saucepan of simmering water or in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
  2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Rice Krispies until fully coated in the chocolate mixture.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape into 12 small balls using your hands. Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes or until firm.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in a clean bowl using the same method. Let it cool for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Spoon a little white chocolate on top of each pudding so it drips slightly down the sides.
  7. Place one red Smartie in the center of each pudding, then add two green holly leaves beside it.
  8. Let the decorated puddings set at room temperature or return them to the fridge to firm up the toppings.
