Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • Additional sliced strawberries
  • Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • Shredded coconut

Equipment

  • bowl or large jar

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl or large jar, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until everything is well incorporated and the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
  2. Gently fold in the diced strawberries, being careful not to crush them. Ensure the fruit is evenly distributed throughout the oat mixture.
  3. Cover the bowl or jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 6–8 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the oats to absorb the liquid and soften to a creamy consistency.
  4. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick for your liking, add a splash of milk and stir again until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Divide the overnight oats into serving bowls or jars. Top with extra sliced strawberries, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut if desired. Serve chilled.
