Teddy Bear Pizza Buns

Cute, cheesy, kid-friendly pizza buns shaped like teddy bears with ears, arms, feet, and a cheesy pizza belly in the center. Made with pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, egg wash, and a simple face drawn with melted chocolate or an edible food marker.

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10 slices Pepperoni slices
  • 1 egg beaten egg
  • to taste Melted chocolate or edible food marker for the face

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F / 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and divide it into 6 equal portions.
  3. Shape one portion of dough into a round or oval bear body and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Gently flatten the center slightly to create the pizza belly area.
  5. Use small pieces of dough to make two ears and attach them to the top of the bear body.
  6. Add two small dough pieces to the sides for the arms.
  7. Add two small dough balls near the bottom for the feet.
  8. Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce over the center belly area of each bear.
  9. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauced center.
  10. Place pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  11. Brush the exposed dough with the beaten egg.
  12. Bake for 22 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  13. Let the buns cool for a few minutes before decorating.
  14. Draw the teddy bear face using melted chocolate or an edible food marker.
  15. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce, marinara sauce, or ranch for dipping.
