- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash your asparagus and snap or trim off the tough, woody ends.
- Toss the asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until coated.
- Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on your baking sheet.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes, watching for tender stalks and edges turning golden.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the asparagus.
- Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes until the Parmesan is melted and slightly crispy.
- Drizzle with optional lemon juice just before serving.
