  • 3-3/4 cups Sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups Light corn syrup
  • 1 cup Water
  • Red food colouring or colour of your choice (2 to 3 drops)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Watermelon flavouring or flavouring of your choice
  • 1/2 cup Confectioners' sugar

  • candy thermometer
  • Two shallow pans

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Greased 2 (15x10x1-in) pans. Palace aside.
  2. Combine the sugar, water, corn syrup and food colouring In a large heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
  3. When it boils. Keep cooking it without stirring until a candy thermometer shows 300°.
  4. Take the mixture off the heat and add the flavouring. Quickly pour it into the pans you prepared earlier and let it cool.
  5. Sprinkle some confectioners' sugar on top and then break it into pieces. Keep the candy in airtight containers for storage.
